SHINE - HELP WITH BILL PAY

SHINE London offers a dedicated helpline and affordable warmth interventions to ensure households get the help they need to reduce utility bills, tackle energy debt and ultimately stay well and warm.

HELP ON YOUR DOORSTEP

A huge amount of resources can be found via Help On Your Doorstep: a service that empowers people and communities in Islington. FRIENDLY PHONE CALLS

Covid-19 has caused a huge reduction in people's social interaction. For many, this lack of contact will be having an impact on their mental wellbeing. Regular conversation with a friendly volunteer can make a huge positive difference.


If you feel like you could do with a chat over the phone, either email us at callybarnsmutualaid@gmail.com, or let one of the coordinators from your local Whatsapp group know. One of our volunteers will be in touch.

AGE UK ISLINGTON

Age UK Islington can provide support to *any adults (16 yrs+)* or unpaid carers who might be struggling at this time. 


We can provide help with finances (debt, paying bills & benefits), housing (neighbour issues, rent, urgent repairs), emotional support / mental health support through our one to one support - this is by phone at the moment.  


Volunteers can share the Age UK Islington helpline number - 020 7281 6018.

YOUNG WOMEN'S TRUST

Young Women’s Trust supports young women aged 18-30 with free telephone & email coaching, helping them build strong mental health, set goals and stay motivated. You can find out more here on the website.

UK POWER NETWORKS PRIORITY SERVICE

CLOTHES + BOOKS DONATIONS - MARGINS PROJECT

Margins Project will take donations of practice clothes and books.


Donation drop-off times 10am-12pm Monday-Thursday. Come around the back entrance of Union Chapel (on Compton Avenue - N1 2DX)

The Shaken Not Broken Fund is a fundraising initiative and grant scheme created by Campari UK, in partnership with TiPJAR and The Drinks Trust. Its aim is to provide much-needed support to front-line workers in in the hospitality industry during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

YOGA FOR LIFE - FREE BREATHING CLASS FOR DEEP RELAXATION

Free Breathing Through Covid19 breathing and deep relaxation every Thursday on Zoom at 2pm.


This group acts as a support network to those feeling isolated with the condition or who would like to work on breathing to help with stress management. It’s run by Claire Whalley a local therapeutic yoga mindfulness teacher. The class is open to everyone and takes place on a chair.
